Eleven goals from James Podsiadly has helped Adelaide to a crushing 66-point victory over Glenelg at Gliderol Stadium on Saturday evening.
Podsiadly, fresh off booting nine goals last round against Sturt, starred once again with a season-best 29 possessions and 18 marks – including seven contested.
The Geelong premiership player booted five in the opening term and tied up the SANFL's Ken Farmer Medal race, joining Tigers veteran Clint Alleway on 44 goals for the year, with his ninth major late in the third quarter.
Podsiadly managed just two more for the game while Alleway finished with three majors to retain the League goalkicking title.
Adelaide was never headed during the twilight contest at The Bay, which was the last of the year for the SANFL Crows. The victory was the team's eighth of the season and consolidated seventh spot on the League ladder.
Sam Kerridge gave his all with a game-high 31 possessions, nine clearances and a goal, and was well supported by Matthew Wright (28 disposals, nine clearances, one goal) and Cam Ellis-Yolmen (22 disposals, eight tackles) in the clinches.
Kerridge has now averaged 31 disposals, 10 clearances and six marks through his last three games with the SANFL Crows.
Kyle Cheney continued his strong State League form in defence. The former Hawk was courageous in the air and physical on the ground, finishing with 17 possessions, seven marks and three rebound 50ms.
Skipper Ian Callinan produced a vintage performance with 22 disposals, six inside 50ms and a trademark snap for his only goal in the final stanza.
Speedster Anthony Wilson continued his recent run of solid form with 17 touches and two goals, while Luke Lowden's 13-possession and three-goal game was his best as a Crow.
David Mackay (17 possessions, two goals) and Brodie Martin (18 possessions, seven marks) were other solid contributors.
Crows SANFL coach Heath Younie was pleased his team finished off the year positively, but rued Adelaide's slow start to the season.
"We really wanted to finish off the season strongly," he said.
"You get what you deserve in this game. Similar to last year, we took our time to get going and then we got on a bit of a winning streak.
"I'm more disappointed for our playing group. It would've been fantastic for some of our young guys to experience a finals series and a taste of the intensity.
"It would've been great for our footy club to have both teams in a finals series. Unfortunately we just didn't win enough early on."
Defender Sam Shaw copped a knock to his knee in the third quarter and was benched in the final term as a precaution.
The win marked Adelaide's sixth victory from the Club's last seven outings at SANFL level.
