Our goal in 2011 is to confirm www.afc.com.au as the best online home for Adelaide Crows fans.
Now part of the AFL’s new online media network, the Adelaide Football Club’s mantra is to provide more compelling and fresh content - from news and features, to video, images, blogs, games and live chats.
And fan generated content will also add to the mix, with the coming launch of our own social networking hub called Crows Nation.
About 50,000 fans check in on afc.com.au every week during the football season. But not only do we want more supporters to visit, we want them to stay longer and come more often.
Our strength is that we can provide exclusive access and news direct from the Club. Therefore, we plan to make the most of this advantage, to the benefit and enjoyment of our supporters right across Australia and the world.
Here’s a snapshot of what’s ahead this week ...
Monday: Read the latest news direct from the Club. Find out who is fit and ready to face Hawthorn and all the other fresh news straight from the morning’s football operations meeting. There’s a special press conference planned to kick off the week. And we introduce a new regular series by MasterChef Australia winner and Crows fanatic Adam Liaw.
Tuesday: It will be the 20th anniversary of Adelaide’s first AFL game. Check out our extensive special coverage including stories, pictures and video.
Wednesday: All the news updates, plus video of captain Nathan van Berlo answering questions from fans, as posted on our Facebook fans page.
Thursday: It’s selection day! See the team for round one first on ‘Team Thursday’, our ‘live’ chat session which starts at 4pm. The team will appear at 4.30pm. It’s also time to finalise your Dream Team and made your Crows Tipping selections before round one kicks off.
Friday: Read and watch the latest news from Neil Craig’s pre-match press conference.
Saturday: Game day will be huge on www.afc.com.au Before the game, during the match and after the siren, our website will be the hub for our supporters.
Post-game coverage will also be taken to a new level with match reports, stats, player interviews, the coach’s press conference, exclusive pics and video highlights.
