Luke Brown hopes to overcome a foot sprain to play against West Coast on Sunday.
Brown, 22, injured his foot when it became trapped underneath him in a tackle during the second quarter against the Brisbane Lions at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
The reliable small defender was able to return to the field, playing most of the third quarter before being substituted out of the match as a precaution at three-quarter time. Brown hasn’t missed a game since Round 11, 2013, having played the last 52 in succession.
Key backman Jake Lever will be available for selection for the crucial clash with the Eagles.
Lever, 19, didn’t play at either AFL or SANFL level last weekend as part of his ongoing management in his debut season.
On Saturday night, Richard Douglas made a successful return from surgery to remove his appendix. Young forward Harry Dear also returned in the SANFL after a week on the sidelines with an ankle complaint. The Club reported no new injuries in the State League on the weekend.
