ADELAIDE has reached its first NAB Cup Grand Final since 2008, after a 13 goals to two second half saw them demolish a young Collingwood side by 77-points at AAMI Stadium on Friday night.

The Crows welcomed a host of experienced players back into their side including captain Nathan van Berlo, Kurt Tippett and Brent Reilly, while Collingwood fielded a side that included 12 players yet to notch a regular-season AFL game.

Jason Porplyzia (four goals) began the match from where he left off in Alice Springs, slotting the game's first goal and testing his dodgy shoulder out in several strong contests.

The video review was called into action for the first and only time shortly after when Collingwood's Paul Seedsman launched a long bomb into attack, with replays showing the ball slipped over the back of the pack and through for games first super goal.

On his return to the lineup Kurt TIppett worked hard around the ground and Rory Sloane again looked red hot. Brent Reilly and skipper Nathan van Berlo were also amongst it early.

For the Magpies, Travis Cloke was proving far too strong for young Daniel Talia, while Simon Buckley and left-footer Peter Yagmoor was lively in defence.

Taylor Walker opened his account early in the second quarter and the game looked to be firmly in Adelaide's grasp when Porplyzia, Tippett and Dangerfield all converted.

But an Alex Fasolo steadier and wasted opportunities from the Crows kept the Magpies within reach.

Walker added his second after the half-time siren to put the hosts eight-points up at the main break.

Adelaide introduced Ian Callinan into the mix for the second half and the 29-year-old didn't waste any time stamping his authority on the game, setting up young Sam Kerridge for his first, then Tom Lynch before nailing one himself to put his side up by 34 points.

While Scott Pendlebury, Steele Sidebottom and Dane Swan were all finding the ball and Harry O'Brien was rebounding well out of defence, the Crows controlled possession, Brodie Smith handy off the wing.

The flood gates opened in the last, with Adelaide booting eight goals, including a monster super goal from Matthew Jaensch, while keeping the Magpies to just two behinds.
