The West Coast Eagles have called upon ruckman Jonathan Giles for Friday night’s clash with the Crows at Adelaide Oval.
With star ruckman Nic Naitanui out of action with a serious knee injury, the Eagles decided to promote the experienced Giles to support fellow ruckman Scott Lycett.
Young defender Tom Barrass also returns to the senior team at the expense of fellow backman Jackson Nelson. Barrass missed last week’s win over Hawthorn due to shin soreness, but has been cleared of any major injury.
Nelson, midfielder Jack Redden and defender Mitch Brown, who all travelled to Adelaide, are West Coast’s emergencies.
