Adelaide Football Club partner Chemist Warehouse will be turning Adelaide Oval yellow on Saturday night in support of prostate cancer.
In partnership with Australian Prostate Cancer Research (APCR), Chemist Warehouse will be giving all fans attending Saturday night’s clash against Collingwood a free yellow t-shirt designed to raise much-needed awareness of prostate cancer and encourage men Australia-wide to do a Peeball test to check their prostate health.
Fans will be encouraged to put on the t-shirts just after 7pm ahead of the 7.10pm bounce, to create a sea of yellow and support the important cause.
One in five men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer within their lifetime, so Chemist Warehouse and APCR are calling all Australian males to recruit family and friends to take the Peeball challenge and check their prostate health.
Peeballs are 100% biodegradable balls that disintegrate in liquid – so all that’s needed to take the test is a Peeball and a urinal.
Professor Tony Costello AM from APCR will be a special guest at Saturday night’s game.
“We are thrilled to be involved in the Peeball Challenge with Chemist Warehouse. It is a brilliant way to send an important message to men,” said Professor Costello.
“Each year, close to 3,300 Australian men die as a direct result of prostate cancer and more than 20,000 new cases are diagnosed.”
Peeballs are available from Chemist Warehouse stores nation-wide, with proceeds going directly to Australian Prostate Cancer Research and the Prostate Cancer Centre.
Chemist Warehouse will also have its yellow Wellness Van in the Southern Plaza on Saturday night, with information and giveaways for both adults and children.
