Ricciuto clan expands
“We’ve got the centre square covered now!” joked Crows legend Mark Ricciuto after wife Sarah gave birth to the couple’s sixth child, a boy, on Monday.
Sarah hadn’t quite reached her due date, but the excitement of two Showdown wins on the weekend was obviously enough to trigger an early labour.
‘Roo’ returned from Adelaide’s SANFL match in Mannum on Sunday evening and, before the sun came up the next day, was in hospital by Sarah’s bedside – not that he was much help according to the photo (below) Mrs Ricciuto took in the early hours of Monday morning!
After a few days of uncertainty and feedback from fans and listeners, the couple selected the name 'Tom' for baby No.6. Tom Salvatore Ricciuto will be welcomed home by brothers Nick, Joe and Rocco and sisters Sophie and Rosie. For those doing the maths, the latest addition to the clan will be eligible for Father-Son selection in 2034!

Another baby on the way
As Roo prepares to take home baby number six, David Mackay and wife Sarah have announced that they’re expecting their first child.
The excited couple, who were married in late-2014, are due in October. ‘Dmac’ is set to become the fourth father in the current Crows playing squad, joining Scott Thompson, Eddie Betts and Tom Lynch.
We’re on a boat
Defenders Brodie Smith and Kyle Hartigan arrived at recovery in style earlier this week! The pair dropped in Harto’s dinghy at West Beach and cruised about 10 minutes along the coast to meet their teammates at Henley Beach. The boys were lucky to stay afloat after they forgot the bungs and had to make do with cork.
Crows kitchen rules
SA’s own My Kitchen Rules contestants, Carmine and Lauren and Rosie and Paige, popped in during the week for a ‘cooking’ challenge with Richard Douglas and Rory Laird. Mega Crows fan, Carmine, revealed the real inspiration behind the couple’s instant restaurant, ‘No.32’ was his love of Mark Ricciuto!
