An in-form Crows trio has been named in the AFL’s Team of the Week for Round 12.
Reliable backman Rory Laird, livewire forward Eddie Betts and consistent midfielder Rory Sloane were all included in this week’s team after standout performances against West Coast.
Sloane had an equal-game high 29 disposals against the Eagles, including 17 contested possessions, nine clearances and also laid six tackles. The tough midfielder was particularly influential in Adelaide’ match-winning surge in the final term, earning maximum votes from the coaches.
The 26-year-old earned a place on the interchange in the Round 12 Team of the Week. It was the second time this season that he’s been included in the side.
Eddie Betts’ five-goal haul earned him a spot in the forward pocket in the latest Team of the Week.
The star small forward, who sits fifth in the Coleman Medal race with 33 majors for the year, was the leading goalkicker on the ground at Domain Stadium on Saturday night. It’s Betts’ third guernsey in the AFL’s Team of the Week for 2016.

Laird leads all Crows this season however after earning his fourth Team of the Week start of the year, despite missing four games to injury.
The courageous defender sealed a back pocket spot with his 25-possession and 10-mark performance in the west. Laird also laid four tackles against the Eagles and finished the game with the second-best disposal efficiency (84 per cent) of any player on the ground with 20 possessions or more.
It was the third time this season that three Crows have made the AFL Team of the Week.
Greater Western Sydney and Geelong led the way with four representatives apiece in this week’s side. The Western Bulldogs, Melbourne, St Kilda and Richmond were all behind Adelaide with two players each.
Josh Jenkins (three times), Daniel Talia (twice) Rory Atkins, Scott Thompson, Tom Lynch and Taylor Walker are the other Crows who have been recognised in AFL Media’s Team of the Week throughout the course of the season so far.
