The Crows have reported a clean bill of health from the weekend of matches.
Rory Laird has been cleared of any damage after receiving a heavy knock early in the third quarter of Adelaide’s 58-point Showdown win on Saturday. The 2015 All Australian nominee was helped from the ground by trainers, but returned to play out the game strongly.
Defender Sam Shaw was unable to finish Adelaide’s SANFL Showdown in Mannum on Sunday.
General Manager of High Performance Brett Burton said Shaw had suffered a migraine.
“Sam Shaw came from the ground in the second quarter,” Burton said.
“He’s fine today but we’ll monitor him throughout the week. We expect him to be available to play.”
Recruit Curtly Hampton and rookie-listed ruckman Paul Hunter are continuing their rehabilitation programs. Hampton has been sidelined by a stress reaction in his foot, while Hunter is recovering from an ankle injury sustained at training.
Burton said the pair was on track to return later this month.
“Paul Hunter and Curtly Hampton are progressing well,” he said.
“We expect them both to be available after the (SANFL) bye (in mid-April).”
Cricket convert Alex Keath could also only be a few weeks from making his SANFL debut.
Keath, who juggled cricket and football commitments over the summer, is completing a ‘mini’ pre-season in preparation for his first football season since Under-18s.
“Alex Keath isn’t injured, but coming from his cricket program we’ve had to condition him,” Burton said.
“We expect him to be available after the (SANFL) bye as well.”
