Adelaide’s score of 22.12 (144) on Saturday equalled the Club’s highest-ever score against Port.
It was also the Crows’ biggest score yet at Adelaide Oval.
The crowd of 51,585 was Adelaide’s highest-ever for a ‘home’ Showdown and the Club’s second-biggest attendance ever behind the 52,460 fans who turned out for the Round 22 win over West Coast last season.
The 58-point win has seen the Crows climb to fifth on the AFL ladder after two rounds.
Forward Josh Jenkins is an equal-leader of the Coleman Medal after two rounds. Jenkins, reigning Coleman Medallist Josh Kennedy and Gold Coast star Tom Lynch have each kicked nine goals.
Adelaide’s Tom Lynch kicked a game-high six goals on Saturday – the second biggest haul of his career – on his way to winning the Showdown Medal.

Lynch and Eddie Betts were each involved in 13 scores – more than any other players on the ground. Only North Melbourne onballer Daniel Wells had more score assists than Eddie Betts on the weekend.
Adelaide had the highest scoring accuracy (71 per cent) of any team in Round Two.
Despite conceding 70 inside 50ms, the Crows held an inaccurate Port Adelaide to 11 goals in Showdown XL.
Daniel Talia kept prized Port recruit Charlie Dixon goalless, and also had a game-high 13 one percenters. Talia, Jake Lever, Kyle Hartigan and, at times, Kyle Cheney combined to restrict the Power’s talls to one goal from first-gamer, Dougal Howard.
The Crows were efficient going forward, registering a goal from 40 per cent of their inside 50m entries – ranked No.1 in the competition on the weekend.
Adelaide took 17 marks inside 50m compared to Port Adelaide’s six. Jenkins took a game-high five.
Mitch McGovern and Wayne Milera Junior both kicked their first goals as Crows.
The Crows had 88 more disposals than the Power, 412 – 324. The discrepancy was 54 in Adelaide’s favour at quarter time.
All 22 Crows players reached double-figure possessions in Saturday’s Showdown.
Rory Laird collected a career-high 33 disposals. Only Power star Robbie Gray (37) had more touches at Adelaide Oval on Saturday. Laird also took a game-high 12 marks, and leads the competition for marks (21) after two rounds.
Adelaide was able to prevent Port Adelaide from maintaining possession, limiting the Power to only 31 uncontested marks – the lowest number of any team in Round Two. In contrast, the Crows moved the ball with speed and efficiency, taking 95 uncontested marks and getting over the back of Port Adelaide's defence to kick nine goals from within 15 metres - twice as many as the next best team in Round Two, Hawthorn.
Brodie Smith generated a game and Round Two-high 10 rebound 50ms, while David Mackay had a game-high six inside 50ms from his 25 disposals. Mackay also won eight hard-ball gets – ranked equal-third for the round.
For the second straight week, Matt Crouch topped the clearance count (seven). Crouch and teammate Thompson are ranked equal-fourth in the League for clearances with 15 after the opening two rounds.
Scott Thompson laid a game-high 10 tackles to go with his 29 possessions and six clearances. He finished with a team-high 24 pressure acts.
Ruckman Sam Jacobs won 41 hit-outs. Only WA-based pair Aaron Sandilands (48) and Nic Naitanui (42) had more for the round.
Wingman Rory Atkins recorded a disposal efficiency of 100 per cent with his 13 touches.
