For the first time in three years, Adelaide will take the field without defender Luke Brown.

Brown, 23, has been ruled out of Sunday’s clash with Carlton because of a groin injury. The reliable backman, who has played 70 consecutive AFL games, hasn’t missed a match since Round 11, 2013.

Brown will be replaced by one of Paul Seedsman, Ricky Henderson, Wayne Milera Junior or Jake Kelly, who have all been named on an extended interchange bench in the Crows’ squad of 25.

The squad will be trimmed to 22 on afc.com.au at 4:30pm on Friday.

Seedsman has recovered from a hamstring strain which kept him sidelined for two games. Henderson was the travelling AFL emergency last weekend, while Milera and Kelly were among the better players in the Club’s SANFL win over North Adelaide.

Adelaide’s AFL team will hold an open training session at Football Park from approximately 9:15am on Saturday (July 9) before flying to Melbourne. The match will be part of the Toyota AFL Multicultural Round celebrations.

A couple of former Crows will line up for Carlton on Sunday, as Adelaide aims to secure back-to-back wins at the MCG.

Exciting recruit Curtly Hampton will make his long-awaited return in Adelaide’s ‘home’ SANFL game against Sturt at Thebarton on Saturday.

Ticketed Crows members receive free entry to the Club’s State League games upon presentation of their 2016 membership card. There will be kids activities, giveaways and a chance to get autographs from both the SANFL Crows and Sturt teams.

The squad of 25 is:
IN – Ricky Henderson, Jake Kelly, Wayne Milera Junior, Paul Seedsman
OUT – Luke Brown (groin)
