Defender Luke Brown has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against Carlton with a groin injury.
Brown, who has played 70 consecutive AFL games, hasn’t missed a match since Round 11, 2013.
Crows General Manager of High Performance Brett Burton said the reliable backman would miss 1 – 2 weeks.
“Luke’s had some groin soreness recently,” Burton said.
“Unfortunately, it hasn’t improved while he’s continued to play, so the best option now is a period of rest. We’ll see how the soreness settles down and assess him again next week.”
In better news, wingman Paul Seedsman (hamstring), untried recruit Curtly Hampton (foot) and rookie-listed forward Jono Beech have been cleared to return in the SANFL on Saturday. Troy Menzel will miss the clash with Sturt as he recovers from his second concussion of the season.
