Patrick Dangerfield is Adelaide’s best chance of winning the 2013 Brownlow Medal according to bookmakers.

Dangerfield, who finished seventh in the voting (23 votes) last year, is priced at $51 – level with 2012 Brownlow Medallist Jobe Watson (Essendon) and runner-up Trent Cotchin (Richmond).

AFL.com.au's Brownlow Medal predictor has tipped the dynamic midfielder/forward to poll maximum votes in five games, including Adelaide’s narrow loss to Hawthorn in Round Six. Dangerfield was Adelaide's only All-Australian selection in 2013.

Club Champion Rory Sloane and runner-up Richard Douglas are also proven vote-getters, while young gun Brad Crouch polled more best-and-fairest votes than any other Crow in the second half of the season.

Dangerfield, Sloane and Crouch will attend the count at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne on Monday night. Also on the Adelaide table will be Dangerfield’s partner Mardi, Sloane’s partner Belinda, captain Nathan van Berlo and partner Jess, and defender Daniel Talia and partner Megan. Douglas, who was included in the All-Australian squad, is overseas.

Gold Coast captain Gary Ablett is the favourite to take out his second Brownlow Medal, having won the AFL’s highest individual honour in 2009.

The red carpet arrivals will be televised on Channel 7 from 7pm (SA time), with the count to get underway at 7:45pm.
