The Crows will play seven of their first 11 games, including four in a row, at Adelaide Oval next season.
After a trip to the SCG to play the Sydney Swans in Round Five, Adelaide will play in front of its loyal home fans for the next month.
The Crows will host consecutive games against Gold Coast and Carlton before an ‘away’ Showdown in Round Eight. The Western Bulldogs will then venture to South Australia for a Friday night fixture in Round Nine.
Prime Timeslots
The clash with the Dogs will be one of five games in the prime Friday night timeslot for the Crows in 2018.
Adelaide also has seven marquee Saturday night matches and two under lights on a Thursday, including a blockbuster at home against Geelong in Round 17.
Crows Chief Executive Officer Andrew Fagan described the fixture as an outstanding result for Members and supporters.
“The League has again rewarded clubs which play attacking and entertaining football and have large passionate supporter bases both at the ground and tuning in to watch via the various broadcast platforms," Fagan said.
“Our fans always turn out in big numbers to games across the country and should take great pride in seeing their team on show on the national stage in premium timeslots.
“From a football perspective, we also get two games at the MCG including the likelihood of a blockbuster crowd when we confront the Tigers in Round 16 which is fantastic.”
The Crows and Cats will meet in a Thursday night epic at Adelaide Oval
As revealed last week, the Crows will start their 2018 campaign against Essendon at Etihad Stadium on Friday, March 23.
Adelaide fans will be hoping to see Bryce Gibbs in the blue, red and gold in Round One, while the Bombers could unveil prize recruits Jake Stringer, Devon Smith and Adam Saad.
Adelaide’s first home game is a Grand Final replay against Richmond on Thursday, March 29, to kick off the Easter weekend.
Richmond is one of five teams the Crows play twice next season. Adelaide also has ‘double-up’ games against the Port Adelaide, Carlton, Greater Western Sydney and Melbourne.
Carlton is coming … and so are the Dees
In May, Adelaide will host Carlton for the first time in eight years.
The last seven games between the teams have been played in Victoria.
The Saturday night clash will pit Gibbs, who played 231 games for the Blues, against his old teammates for the first time.
Demons defender Jake Lever will return to Adelaide Oval to take on his former club in Round 19.
The Crows and Dees will first meet in the Northern Territory in Round 10.
The match at TIO Traeger Park on Sunday, May 27, will mark the first time Adelaide has competed for premiership points in the Red Centre.
The two teams played in the Top End last season, with the Crows taking the points in Darwin.
The Crows and Carlton last played in Adelaide in 2010
Crows in Canberra
Adelaide will also make a rare trip to the ACT to play the Giants at UNSW Canberra Oval in Round 21.
The Crows have only played one match for premiership points in Canberra (Manuka Oval) back in 2002 against North Melbourne.
For the third time in four years, Adelaide will host GWS in Sir Doug Nicholls Indigenous Round in Round 11.
The Club’s first and only look at the new Perth Stadium next season will be in Round 12 against Fremantle.
It will be followed by another away game in Victoria against Hawthorn leading into Adelaide’s mid-season bye in Round 14.
The Crows also have one game in Brisbane against Charlie Cameron’s Lions in Round 18, and one match in Sydney.
It will be Adelaide’s first home and away game in New South Wales since 2015.
Adelaide has three games at Etihad Stadium, including a ‘floating’ Round 23 fixture against Carlton, and two at the MCG – against the Hawks and Tigers.
