Crows AFLW premiership player Sarah Perkins will join a collection of the AFL’s biggest stars for Fox Footy’s Longest Kick this Grand Final Day.
Perkins will be joined by fellow AFLW player Katie Brennan, Carlton’s Bryce Gibbs, Melbourne’s Jayden Hunt, West Coast's Josh Kennedy, and the Western Bulldogs' Matt Suckling as they attempt to kick 75 metres across Melbourne’s Yarra River.
Legends Brendan Fevola and Dustin Fletcher and Wildcard superboot James Pennycuick, who roosted a 73.9 metre kick at last year's competition, will also be involved.
One of the success stories of the inaugural AFLW competition, Perkins developed cult-hero status for her clever play, goal celebrations and fun-loving nature.
The All Australian topped the Crows’ goal kicking and finished second in the League with 11.
The 24-year-old said she was looking forward to having a bit of fun on the day.
“It’s great to be involved. I’m looking forward to giving it a crack and hopefully beating Tayla Harris’ effort last year,” Perkins said with a laugh.
The Longest Kick competition can be viewed at Birrarung Marr in Melbourne on Grand Final morning, September 30 at 10am (EST) or on Fox Footy.
