Geelong forward Tom Hawkins has been offered a one-match suspension by the AFL Match Review Panel for striking Crows midfielder Matt Crouch.
Hawkins remonstrated with both Crouch brothers late in the second term of Adelaide’s clash with the Cats at Simonds Stadum on Friday night.
He appeared to make high contact with Crouch following a ‘jumper punch’ with his left fist.
The MRP deemed contact to intentional, high and of low impact resulting in an initial two-match suspension. An early guilty plea would allow Hawkins to accept a one-match ban.
Hawthorn's Luke Hodge was the only other player charged by the Match Review Panel from the round.
