Crows captain Taylor Walker will play his first game of the season in Saturday’s clash with Hawthorn at the MCG.
The 26-year-old has been cleared to return from a pre-season hamstring injury sustained in Adelaide’s final JLT Community Series match against Brisbane.
Walker was a late withdrawal from last week’s season-opener against Greater Western Sydney as the Club elected to take a no-risk approach with his recovery.
Fellow forward Mitch McGovern has also been cleared to compete after overcoming an ankle injury sustained during the Club’s Round One clash.
The strong-marking Crow trained fully on Thursday and has been named at centre-half forward in this week’s side.
Left-footer Troy Menzel, who played his first game for the Club last round, is the only omission.
Menzel, defender Jake Lever and onballer Harrison Wigg are the emergencies.
The Crows will be looking to reverse a poor recent record against the Hawks, but four of the last six games between the two teams have been decided by two goals or less. Read more stats that matter
