Curtly Hampton has returned to Adelaide’s senior list ahead of his SANFL comeback on Sunday.
Hampton, 24, was placed on the long-term injury list after injuring his ankle against the Brisbane Lions in Round Nine.
The explosive midfielder has recovered from surgery and is set to play his first SANFL game of the season against Woodville-West Torrens this weekend.
After being ruled out for the remainder of the season, young key-position player Elliott Himmelberg has been placed on the long-term injury list.
Himmelberg, 19, has missed a month with a foot complaint and the Club will take a cautious approach with the first-year player’s rehabilitation.
Rookie Alex Keath has been promoted to Adelaide’s primary squad in place of Himmelberg.
Keath, who was initially elevated for Hampton, is now eligible for AFL selection for the remainder of the Club’s 2017 campaign.
Rookies Hugh Greenwood and Jono Beech also remain available to play at senior level.
Greenwood was elevated in place of injured onballer Cam Ellis-Yolmen, who is recovering from a knee reconstruction, and Beech was nominated as the Club’s mid-season rookie upgrade.
