Midfielder Cam Ellis-Yolmen has been placed on the Club’s long-term injury list.
Ellis-Yolmen, 24, ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) of his right knee in Adelaide’s opening JLT Community Series clash with Richmond last month.
The injury is expected to sideline the big-bodied onballer for the entire season.
Ellis-Yolmen has played 14 AFL games since being recruited by the Club with pick No.64 in the 2011 National Draft.
Players placed on the long-term injury list are ineligible for senior selection for a minimum period of eight weeks. The Club is permitted to upgrade a rookie to the senior roster as a replacement.
The Club has not nominated a player for promotion to the senior squad at this stage.
Adelaide’s current rookie-listed players are Jonathon Beech, Hugh Greenwood, Paul Hunter, Alex Keath and Ben Jarman.
