Defender Kyle Hartigan is combining his dream to trek Base Camp Everest with his work supporting the Crows Children’s Foundation.
After the success of last year’s Base Camp Everest trip, the Crows Children’s Foundation is providing another opportunity for people to go on the famous trek while supporting children in need.
A Board Member of the Crows Children’s Foundation, Hartigan has signed up to take part and is aiming to raise $10,000 ahead of the trip in October to assist disadvantaged kids in South Australia and Nepal.
Fans wanting to support ‘Harto’ can do so by joining him at a special screening of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales at Wallis Cinemas at Mitcham on Sunday, May 28.
The event starts at 3pm and includes a raffle, prizes and giveaways, with every dollar raised going towards Hartigan’s fundraising total.

People who can’t attend the special screening, but wish to support Hartigan can make a donation here.
For those interested in joining Hartigan on the Nepal trek, which is one of the most famous in the world, there are still places available.
Departing on October 15, the trip will be hosted by Foundation Board member and Paralympic gold medallist Katrina Webb and Charity Expedition Nepal.
Highlights include the journey from Nepal’s vibrant capital, Kathmandu, via twin-engine plane to Lukla and then on to the very heart of the Nepali Himalaya, which is simply spectacular.
Majestic snow-capped peaks line the steep sided valleys and jaw-dropping views await at almost every turn. The beauty of the scenery is matched only by the famous warmth and hospitality of the Nepalese, who will be looking after you throughout your trip.
Each trekker is asked to raise a minimum of $1,500 to support the Crows Children’s Foundation and the people of Nepal, who are still reeling from the 2015 earthquake which killed more than 8,000 people.
