Adelaide and Richmond will go in as named for the 2017 Toyota AFL Grand Final.

Midfielders Brad Crouch and Hugh Greenwood, defender Jake Kelly and utility Andy Otten will start the match on the interchange.

On Wednesday, high-flying forward Mitch McGovern was ruled out due to a hamstring injury.

McGovern was unable to complete the Club’s open training session at Adelaide Oval but made the trip to Melbourne to support his teammates.

“It’s pretty weird, I obviously wish I was out there with the boys,” McGovern said.

“I’m as good as I can be at the moment, I’m trying to stay as positive as I can.

“It’s good to still be a part of it and be over here with the team.”


Midfielder Hugh Greenwood has cast aside injury speculation to take his place in the final team.

The Grand Final begins at 2:30pm (AEST) on Saturday and will be broadcast live on Channel 7.

For Crows fans in South Australia, there will be a live site at Adelaide Oval from 12 – 6pm on Saturday.

It will be only the second VFL/AFL Grand Final where no player has played in a Grand Final before. The other was the first-ever Grand Final in 1898.

The crowd at the MCG on Saturday is likely to be the biggest-ever Adelaide has played in front of, surpassing the current record of 99,645 fans at the venue for the 1997 premiership win over St Kilda.

Regardless of the result, the Crows will hold a Family Day at Adelaide Oval on Sunday from 1pm. The event will include the presentation of the Grand Final team on stage.

The day will involve live interviews with players and coaches, activities for kids and the latest Crows merchandise available for purchase. Entry is free.
