The Crows could be bolstered by the return of exciting forward Charlie Cameron for Saturday night’s clash with Essendon at Etihad Stadium.
Cameron, who kicked three goals in his last game against Fremantle, missed the Club’s win over North Melbourne because of groin soreness. The promoted rookie will need to prove his fitness at Adelaide’s main training session later in the week.
The Club’s 2013 leading goalkicker Tom Lynch is expected to make his return from injury in Adelaide’s SANFL match against North Adelaide on Sunday. Lynch hasn’t played since fracturing his jaw in a controversial collision with Melbourne midfielder Jack Viney in Round Seven.
Defender Sam Shaw was a late withdrawal from Adelaide’s SANFL loss to Central District because of a leg complaint, but hopes to take on the Roosters this weekend. Utility Ricky Henderson pulled up well from his first competitive hit-out since fracturing his leg at training in February.
The Crows reported no new injuries from their AFL and SANFL matches over the weekend. Forward Taylor Walker received a kick to his shin during Adelaide’s victory over the Kangaroos, but was able to play out the game and will line up against the Bombers.
Jared Petrenko is about a month away as he recovers from a stress fracture in his leg. Fellow forward Lewis Johnston will spend another eight weeks on the sidelines following surgery to repair tendon damage in his hand. Captain Nathan van Berlo is continuing his rehabilitation from a long-term Achilles injury.
The Crows will hold an open training session at AAMI Stadium from 10:00am on Friday, June 20. The session is expected to run up to one hour.
The Club’s Victorian Members Day will be held on Sunday (June 22) at Wesley College in Melbourne. A selection of players and coaches are set to join members at the relaxed and informal morning for a free sausage sizzle, coffee and clinic for Junior Members. Junior fans can register their attendance at the coaching clinic by clicking here. Registrations close at 5pm Monday, June 16. Contact the Club's Melbourne office for further information.
