Geelong defender Tom Stewart has caused a stir after claiming he was unwell and due to be sent home from Simonds Stadium on Monday morning.
"Gastro, food poisoning ... one or the other, so hope I'll be right," the first-year player told reporters as he left the club.
Fellow Cats defender Tom Longergan is already on Geelong's 'sick' list.
Longergan, who was a late withdrawal from the clash with Sydney on Friday night, was again sent home on Monday morning after just 15 minutes at the club.
"I think it's just us two at the moment … bit of quarantine," Stewart said.
Later, it was revealed Stewart was simply leaving the club to purchase a coffee and trained with Geelong's main group in the afternoon.
Scans on the defender's hamstring "came back positive" and he expects to be right to play in five days' time.
The Cats face Adelaide in a Preliminary Final on Friday night at Adelaide Oval.
The Geelong team is scheduled to travel to Adelaide on Thursday afternoon.
