Adelaide will receive an early third-round draft pick for Harrison Wigg after a trade deal was struck with Gold Coast on Wednesday.
The Crows have acquired the Suns’ pick No.39 in this year’s draft in exchange for the left-footed midfielder, pick No.54 and Adelaide’s future fourth-round selection.
Taken with pick No.35 in the 2014 National Draft, Wigg did not play a senior game at the Crows but was a consistent performer at State League level.
Crows General Manager List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said the deal was a good result for everyone involved.
“We are happy to strengthen our draft position this year by adding an early third round pick,” Reid said.
“Harrison is a quality person who is looking for more opportunities at senior level by moving to the Gold Coast.
“We wish him all the best for the future and thank him for his contribution over the past three years.”
Adelaide currently holds picks 10, 16, 39, 73 and 91 in this year’s National Draft.
