Defender Kyle Cheney has accepted a two-match ban from the SANFL's Incident Review Panel.

Cheney, 27, was cited for striking Norwood's Peter Bampton at Coopers Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The SANFL IRP classed contact as intentional, high and of medium impact, attracting a base sanction of three matches. An early guilty plea reduced the penalty to two games.

Players suspended at SANFL level are also unavailable for AFL selection.
