Experienced midfielder Scott Thompson will play his first AFL game of the season on Friday night.
Thompson is one of three inclusions in Adelaide’s team to play the Western Bulldogs.
Line-breaking forward Charlie Cameron and utility Andy Otten also return to the Crows side.
The trio replaces injured defender Kyle Hartigan, Hugh Greenwood (managed) and Jono Beech, who has been omitted. Beech, Greenwood and wingman Paul Seedsman are the emergencies.
Greenwood has impressed since making his AFL debut in Round Nine.
Head of Football Brett Burton said the basketball convert would benefit from a weekend off.
“It’s a long season for all players especially for someone like Hugh, who has only been in the AFL system for two years,” Burton said.
“We’re mindful of managing his workload particularly given his limited background in football in recent times.
“We’re really pleased with Hugh’s development and look forward to him playing an important role for our Club in the backend of the season.”
A veteran of 307 AFL games, Thompson will provide a strong midfield presence against the hard-bodied Bulldogs in forecast wet conditions at Adelaide Oval.
The All Australian and two-time Crows Club Champion last played in the Club’s 2016 Semi-Final against the Sydney Swans.
Cameron has been recalled after missing last week’s win over Carlton with a wrist injury.
Otten, who played the opening 13 games of the season, is back after a week in the SANFL.
On Friday night, the Crows will host the Dogs at Adelaide Oval for the first time.

Crows star Eddie Betts is set to play his 268th AFL game, drawing level with Brisbane triple-premiership winner Darryl White in sixth spot for most games by an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island player.
Betts reaches the mark in NAIDOC Week, which celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements and is an opportunity to recognise the contributions that Indigenous Australians make to our country and our society.
If not required at AFL level, Beech and Seedsman will line up in Adelaide’s SANFL Showdown at Alberton on Saturday. Ticketed Crows members receive free entry to the Club’s minor round SANFL matches upon presentation of their 2017 membership card.
The team is:
