Adelaide forward Jono Beech has made the trip to Geelong ahead of Friday night's blockbuster clash with the Cats at Simonds Stadium.
The Crows took 23 players across for the game when they arrived at Adelaide Airport on Thursday morning.
Beech is expected to be an emergency, but the 26-year-old's outstanding form in the SANFL is edging him closer to his debut.
Playing on the wing, Beech had 31 possessions for the Crows in their victory against North Adelaide last week.
"He'll travel with us and we'll finalise our side later today," coach Don Pyke told reporters.
"The last two weeks we've had some solid performances, last week was a good return to form, so I don't envisage a lot of changes.
"(Beech) is getting closer and closer and it's a credit to him.
"He's working really hard and his form in the SANFL has been really strong."
The first-placed Crows have rebounded from back-to-back losses against North Melbourne and Melbourne with huge wins over the Brisbane Lions and Fremantle in the past fortnight.
It puts them in a great frame to mind to secure their first win at Simonds Stadium since 2003.
"I think they're independent events," Pyke said.
"Even looking at the likely sides last night, there's probably going to be five or six changes from both teams from the last time we played them.
"Clearly down there previously we haven't been good enough, but it's a good test tomorrow."
The narrow dimensions of the Cats’ home base are something the Crows have paid attention to this week.
"The ground itself is somewhat unique, but we will need to adapt our style to that," Pyke said.
"There's some things we learnt last year and we'll try and apply them Friday night.
"I like to think we can get our forward line press happening well to keep the ball in our half."
