After a disappointing fortnight, Adelaide has bounced back onto the winner’s list with an 80-point win over Brisbane at The Gabba on Saturday night.

Rory Sloane broke free from the tag of Lion Nick Robertson in game 150, accumulating 31 disposals (19 contested), eight clearances, five inside 50s and a couple of goal assists.

The other milestone man in his 100th game, Luke Brown, also had a night to remember with 25 touches which included six rebound 50s and six inside 50s. But it was ability to stop goals and influence contests that while immeasurable, was most valuable on the night.

The return of Jake Lever also provided a massive boon for the Crows down back, his ability to read the play elite. Between Lever and Daniel Talia, the pair had 17 spoils and 14 marks, nullifying any impact Brisbane’s key forwards had on the game.

The other two Rory’s (Laird 37 disposals, Atkins 28) and the Crouch brothers (Matt 32 disposals, Brad 29) found plenty of the football, while there were plenty of stars up forward.

Charlie Cameron booted four goals in a scintillating third quarter, while debutant Hugh Greewnood contributed three in the opening half.

Eddie Betts kicked three goals include another contender for Goal of the Year, along with four goal assists. Captain Taylor Walker and Tom Lynch also both booted three.

Polls opens immediately after every Crows game. Users assign three votes to the player they deem Adelaide’s best contributor, two to the second-best and one vote for their third most valuable Crow in each match.

Polling closes on Tuesday at 4.30pm (SA time) after each round when the final votes are collated using a points system.

A maximum of 100 points per game can be awarded to the entire team. Each player is given a percentage of the total votes received to go towards their season tally (For example, if 1,200 votes were placed in Round One and Taylor Walker receives 600 then that is the equivalent of 50 per cent of all votes for that round and he would receive 50 points towards his season tally. If the second best player received 120 votes from 1,200 then that is the equivalent of 10 per cent and he will get 10 votes towards the season tally).

This process is repeated each round and players accumulate points towards their season tally. The player at the top of the leaderboard at the end of the season is crowned the Crows Fans’ MVP.
