Adelaide has secured promising midfielder Wayne Milera Junior for a further three years.

Milera was the Club’s first pick (No.11 overall) in the 2015 National Draft.  

The 19-year-old was selected to debut in round one of his first season and has played 11 AFL games.

He’s averaging 17 possessions this season at an elite efficiency of 82.4 per cent.

The agile and skillful ball winner collected a career-high 23 possessions, five marks and a goal against Greater Western Sydney in Round One.

South Australian Milera said he was happy to be staying at the Club until at least 2020.

“I grew up supporting Adelaide, so to be able to continue my time here is fantastic,” Milera said.

“It’s a really positive environment at the Crows with a great playing group, and that’s something I want to be a part of.”

Crows Head of Football Brett Burton said Milera had a long future at West Lakes.

“We are thrilled to have Wayne re-sign with us,” Burton said.

“Over his first season and a half at the Club we’ve seen that he certainly has the talent to succeed at the highest level.

“We love his work ethic and attitude and we look forward to seeing him continue to develop over the next few years.”

Milera was recruited from SANFL club Central District, where he made his league debut at the age of 17.
