Adelaide’s 2018 SANFL campaign is off to a good start, with a 32-point win over West Adelaide in the Club's first trial game.
Scores were level at
34-degree heat provided a solid hit out for the 15 AFL listed players and 12 development squad members, with Paul Hunter, Matthew Signorello and Andy Otten among the standouts.
Coach Ryan O’Keefe said that the game gave the AFL players a good foundation to build on.
“It was good for them to have a full hit out and give them something to keep building on from now until round one,” he said.
A number of development players also impressed, with many of them playing their first game at SANFL level for the Crows, including James
O’Keefe said he was really pleased with what the development squad players brought to the team.
“To play 12 of the development squad and expose them to League footy, and to come away with a positive result, helps to consolidate some of our work and teachings,” he said.
“All the hard work they’ve done at training, to come and step up to the level shows that they should be pretty confident that they can play at this level.”
There are still two more trial games for the SANFL squad, with the development squad playing against the Port Magpies reserves on
