Matt Crouch’s firm conviction the Crows are on track for success was a key factor in signing a three-year contract extension tying him to the Club until the end of 2021.

The 22-year-old believes the close playing group has what it takes to remain contenders in the coming seasons, with the collective drive to improve making his decision to remain in Adelaide a straight-forward one.

"That’s the main reason you play footy, to be involved in success," Crouch said.

"For me, that's the reason I played when I was a young kid and that's what I want to do in the future.

"I'm really happy to be here and really content with the footy club's direction and where we’re going.”

Crouch gained All-Australian selection and took home his maiden Malcom Blight Medal as the Crows’ best and fairest winner off the back of an impressive 2017 season where he collected an AFL record for most disposals in a season (825).

Despite his individual accolades, the key midfielder believes he still has room for improvement and is focused on what the Crows can achieve as a team moving forward.

“I feel like I can keep improving through the next few years and get the best out of myself,” he said.

"I reckon we’re in a really good position now for the next three years, at least, to really challenge, and it's going to be a good environment to be around."
