Brodie Smith rebounded from the disappointment of missing AFL selection with a best-on-ground performance for the Eagles in the SANFL on Saturday.

Smith, who played the first 10 AFL games of the season with the Crows but was squeezed out of the Crows’ side for last Friday night’s game against St Kilda, collected 29 disposals to help lead his team to a 45-point win over North Adelaide.

Earlier in the day, Adelaide’s pick in last year’s mini-draft for 17-year-olds, Brad Crouch, made his return from a hamstring injury in the reserves. He had 19 disposals in three quarters.
