It’s hard to find too many individual winners when a side goes down by 91 points, as Adelaide did against Melbourne on Sunday afternoon in Alice Springs.
Matt Crouch was the leading disposal winner for the Crows, finishing with 34 touches and a team-high eight clearances.
Rory Laird (30 disposals, 10 marks, six rebound 50s) also had a lot of the footy, while Hugh Greenwood (21 disposals, 10 tackles and six inside 50s) and Richard Douglas (18 disposals, two goals) fought valiantly all day.
An under-siege backline couldn’t stop the Demons, but Daniel Talia (18 disposals, eight marks, 10 intercept possessions and nine spoils) and Tom Doedee (21 disposals at 90.5 percent efficiency, including seven intercept possessions) gave plenty of effort.
