Taylor Walker’s fend off and one-handed check-side snap has been nominated for Goal of the Year.
Walker combined strength and class to kick the clever goal in the first quarter of Saturday night’s Showdown at Adelaide Oval.
The Crows captain is one of three nominees for Round Eight, with Sydney’s seven-goal hero Ben Ronke and Steven Motlop, who kicked the match winner for Port Adelaide, also in the running.
Fans can now view and vote for their favourite goal.
Voting opens 12noon AEST each round the day after the last game and will close the night before commencement of the next round.
All members of the public that vote and pick a weekly winner in the 2018 Coates Hire Goal of the Year will go into the draw to win $10,000.
In a change that came into effect for the 2018 Toyota AFL Premiership Season, footy fans will become the eleventh member of the AFL All Australian selection panel who will determine the overall winner for the Coates Hire Goal of the Year Award.
The 2018 Coates Hire Goal of the Year award winner will be announced at the 2018 Brownlow Medal Count.
