Adelaide won the most recent clash between the two teams in Round Nine last season by 75 points.

Of the Suns outfit that beat Carlton last week, only seven were in the severely injury-depleted side that lost to the Crows last year.

Ablett (seventh) and damaging Crows half-back Brodie Smith (10^th) are both top 10 for combined inside and rebound 50ms.

Suns co-captain Tom Lynch leads the club’s goalkicking with 12 – ranked seventh in the AFL. He bagged seven against the Blues in a dominant display last week.

Lynch is the most-used forward 50m target in the League, with Gold Coast going to the contested marking tall forward 53 times in the opening four rounds.

Gold Coast will be without its other co-captain Steven May (hamstring) this week. May is a talisman of sorts for the Suns – in nine games over the past two seasons without him, the Suns are winless.

Crows skipper Taylor Walker is second in the competition for score assists (10) just behind Geelong captain Joel Selwood (11). Walker has also kicked 11 goals – ranked equal-eighth.

Sun Brandon Matera, who has starred since returning to the team a fortnight ago, is the No.1 ranked forward in the competition according to Champion Data (128.8). Walker is third on 115.1 ranking points.

After booting six last weekend, the brilliant Eddie Betts is only five goals-shy of his 500^th AFL goal. Only three other current players, Lance Franklin (797), Nick Riewoldt (697) and Steve Johnson (500) have reached the prestigious milestone.

Dual All Australian defender Daniel Talia is second in the AFL for intercept possessions (35) behind West Coast’s Elliot Yeo (42). Talia is also seventh for spoils (29).

Suns livewire Adam Saad leads the League for running bounces with 30 – more than double that of Crows speedster Charlie Cameron (13).
