Crows joint-vice captains Courtney Cramey and Ange Foley are among the inclusions in an extended squad for Sunday’s AFLW clash with Greater Western Sydney at Blacktown.
All Australian Cramey, who missed the first three matches of the season because of a hamstring injury, is set to make her first appearance since last year’s Grand Final.
Foley is available to play after serving a one-week suspension from the AFL Match Review and could be a direct swap for defender Dayna Cox, who was banned for striking against the Western Bulldogs.
Winger Rheanne Lugg (wrist) is the other confirmed change to the team that beat the Bulldogs.
Northern Territory-based utility Jasmyn Hewett has been named despite sitting out the second half of Adelaide’s thrilling victory over the Dogs with a sore knee.
Young pair Anne Hatchard and midfielder Sophie Armitstead round out the squad of 23, which will be reduced to 21 on Friday afternoon.
The Crows will play their first-ever AFLW game in New South Wales on Sunday.
The clash with the Giants at Blacktown International Sportspark starts at 4:35pm (AEDT).
Fans in Adelaide can watch the match on Channel 7 from 4pm (ACDT). It will also be broadcast nationwide on Fox Footy and the AFLW App.
The Crows and Giants haven’t met since the history-making season-opener at Thebarton Oval last year.
Both teams recorded their first wins of the year last weekend and are separated only by percentage on the AFLW ladder.
The squad is:
IN – Courtney Cramey, Angela Foley, Anne Hatchard, Sophie Armitstead
OUT – Dayna Cox (suspended), Rheanne Lugg (wrist)
