The AFL industry moves at a frantic pace and even while you are in-season you must always have an eye to the future regarding all areas of the Club.
With our SANFL team’s season unfortunately coming to an end last weekend, we are now pushing ahead towards 2020 with a focus and clear plan to be better in every way and this includes how we engage with you, our Members and supporters, who are the backbone of our Club and always will be.
I am pleased to announce that membership prices will not increase next year. We recognise that the cost of going to the football, or any major sporting event for that matter, is becoming more expensive and by maintaining our prices we hope this enables Members to continue to enjoy the excitement of the Crows playing at Adelaide Oval.
We have also improved our 2020 membership offering to include greater Member’s Choice options, including personalised products, as well as providing the chance to win over 100 prizes in our huge Member Bonanza! You should start receiving formal communications about these opportunities next week.
The level of passion shown by fans is always extraordinary. Quite rightly, over the last few weeks there has been no shortage of opinion or feedback and whether it be deemed good or bad, we welcome what you have to say. Ultimately, we all desperately want our Club to be the absolute best it can be on-and-off the field and deliver the type of sustained success of which we can all be proud.
Looking ahead we will soon launch details of a rolling series of Member forums where you will have the opportunity to visit the Club, receive presentations from key administration and football staff on a range of topics while also being provided with ample opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on topics that are important to you. Stay tuned for more details in coming weeks.
In other news, you would have probably heard by now that we have finalised the panel that will identify our next Senior Coach. Football Director Mark Ricciuto and myself will be joined by former player, coach and administrator James Podsiadly and four-time Olympian and coaching mentor Phil Smyth. We are now finalising the criteria that will define the standout qualities and skills we will be looking for in candidates and expect to meet with candidates for the first time next week. There will be no shortage of external commentary in and around this decision making process and we will provide you with appropriate updates as quickly as possible once there is meaningful news to share.
Thank you,
Andrew
