Half way through the season, it’s time to look back at the Club’s most significant moments of 2019.

From player milestones to Showdown medals, it’s been an action packed 13 rounds for the Crows.

Keep in mind the focus is significant moments - not best - so there will be an unfortunate one in the mix.

We’ve been unveiling our picks over the past three days.

Without further delay, here are our picks for the final three:

3. Alex Keath’s Showdown medal

Few players in the competition have enjoyed a breakout season quite like Alex Keath.

The former cricketer turned footballer has played every game in 2019 and launched himself into discussions for All Australian selection.

Keath really showed the league what he could do in the Round Eight Showdown against Port Adelaide.

The big defender notched 26 disposals, five marks and seven rebound 50s, earning himself the Showdown Medal.

2. Co-captains announced

Don Pyke had a clear vision for his captaincy in 2019: find a pair whose traits complimented each other.

In the end, it was an easy decision for the Crows coach - retain Taylor Walker and elevate Rory Sloane from the leadership group.

Walker and Sloane have shared the duties of the coin toss in 2019 and both acted as strong leaders on and off the field.

With the Crows sitting fourth on the ladder, Pyke would be quite pleased with his appointments.

1. Eddie Betts’ 300th game

Could it really be anything else?

Few people would argue that Betts will one day enter the AFL Hall of Fame.

He possesses a highlights reel that includes three Goal of the Year winners (not to mention four nominations in 2019) and some of the most dazzling team work you will ever see.

But beyond being a highlights machine, goal-scoring menace and cheeky smile around the Club, Eddie will be remembered as a leader among the AFL’s Indigenous community.
