Emerging forward Lachlan Murphy has pledged his future to Adelaide after signing a two-year contract extension.
Murphy has cemented his position in the Crows’ senior side this season, averaging a goal per game across 13 appearances at AFL level while also contributing eight goal assists.
The 20-year-old has built his game on relentless forward pressure, reflected in his 1.4 tackles inside forward 50 per game in 2019. He recorded a career-high 11 tackles in the Round Eight Showdown win over Port Adelaide.

Crows General Manager List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said he was thrilled with Murphy’s development since initially joining the Club’s SANFL development squad.
“Lachlan Murphy has gone from strength-to-strength after a strong debut year in 2018,” Reid said.
“He has worked incredibly hard to get to where he is today, and his courage, pressure and desperation has earnt the respect of his teammates, coaches and everyone involved at the football club.
“We’re rapt to have Murph sign with us for another two years.”
Murphy was drafted from Crows’ SANFL development squad with pick No.38 in the 2018 rookie draft and registered 11 games in his debut season last year.
The 2017 Dean Bailey Award winner has played 24 AFL games and kicked 25 goals in his senior career-to-date.
