It’s not every day you meet a royal.
When Wayne Milera Jnr was just 15, he came face to face with Kate Middleton.
In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past 10 years, Middleton is the Duchess of Cambridge and wife to the future King of the United Kingdom, Prince William.

During the couple’s royal visit to Adelaide in 2014, Wayne was invited to meet with Kate at the Playford City Centre in Elizabeth.
“I was at Trinity College in Gawler and I think they wanted an Aboriginal representative to meet the royals,” Milera told AFC Media.
“I had a bit of a chat to her and was telling her about some of the footy stuff we do and how the game works.
“But later she said she thought we were talking about EPL [the English Premier League], like soccer."

But how do you tell a royal they’ve got it wrong?
“She asked us if we followed EPL and we just didn’t end up explaining it to her,” he said, laughing.
“She was pretty nice, Will was there with her too but we didn’t get to see him.
“It was weird, like you see them on tv in another country, but you don’t imagine you’ll ever get to meet them."
