Defender Matthew Jaensch is being treated for fractured ribs and is expected to miss three weeks.

Jaensch suffered the injury after a heavy blow to his chest in the second quarter against Melbourne at Adelaide Oval on Saturday. The neat-kicking backman was assessed by Crows medical staff and took no further part in the game after half time.

Jaensch will be joined on the sidelines by forward Tom Lynch, who will miss 4-6 weeks with a fractured jaw also sustained in Adelaide’s loss to the Demons. See the full injury update.

Lynch’s spot in the forward line is likely to be filled by Taylor Walker, who is set to play his first AFL game since seriously injuring his knee in Round Five last season. Star midfielder Richard Douglas is also available to play after serving a two-game suspension.
