Ebony Marinoff’s record-breaking 33-diposal haul headlined Adelaide’s 29-point win over Geelong at Norwood Oval on Sunday afternoon.
The AFLW star broke Erin Phillips’ Club record 28 disposals before she ultimately eclipsed Emma Kearney’s tally of 30 from Round Six, 2017.
Coach Matthew Clarke said he was impressed with the midfielder’s ability to play with freedom despite being heavily tagged by Carlton a week earlier.
“What I did see was her contest work, which is outstanding, and I think in particular last week she copped a heavy tag and had to manage that,” Clarke said.
“To come back out this week and get back in that vein of form is really pleasing.”

Her prolific outing included 17 kicks, 16 handballs, 14 contested possessions, seven clearances and six tackles.
Clarke believed the next step for the 21-year-old was to add even more layers to her game.
“Obviously we know she can win the ball and very early on in her career,” he said.
“It’s that capacity to keep adding to her composure and ball use as well as grunt, which she’s got plenty of.”

Marinoff said the recent success had come from the introduction of more talented midfielders during the off-season.
“Bringing in Renee Forth and also with Anne Hatchard having a good pre-season it’s given me flexibility to not always be the inside player,” she said.
“Each year we’ve tried to add another midfielder to the team - I’ve had heaps of help out there this year.
“To have that balance is really good for my footy and gives the other girls opportunities to be inside and outside players as well.”
Hatchard’s 27 touches eased the pressure while she also moved through the ruck in support of Jess Foley.
The 20-year-old’s performance included a team-high 18 handballs and 16 contested possessions.
NEW ROLE: Hatchy's self-belief
Foley was at the centre of the action throughout the game thanks to 19 hit-outs and 18 disposals.
Meanwhile, the Crows dominated the inside-50s with 41-16, as well as marks inside-50 with 12-2, centre clearances with 12-3 and disposals at 253-170.
Adelaide’s disposal count was a round-high tally, as were the 146 uncontested possessions, 113 contested possessions and 31 clearances.
There was more subtle dominance in the overall clearance count, Crows led 31-25, while tackles favoured the Club 62-46.
Erin Phillips was one of the most efficient players by foot, recording an 85 per cent kick efficiency, booting three goals and finishing with 19 disposals, 14 contested possessions and six tackles.
Goal support came from six other individual goal kickers, including two majors from youngster Chloe Scheer.
