Adelaide assistant coach Ben Hart has applauded the impact of Josh Jenkins in the SANFL against Port Adelaide on Saturday.
Jenkins booted six goals and took four contested marks in the Crows 16-point win over the Magpies
"We have heard good reports about what Josh was able to do, he moved really well," Hart told reporters on Monday.
"Kicking six and having nine shots on goal means he's doing something right but that will be a discussion later in the week.
"He certainly put his hand up, which is great."
The Crows hope prolific ball-winner Matt Crouch will return from a hip injury which forced him out of last Saturday's one-point loss to Brisbane.
Hart said the gun midfielder would be assessed during the week ahead of the clash with West Coast.
PLENTY TO IMPROVE: Pyke reflects on Brisbane loss
Key defender Kyle Hartigan will be monitored this week after being concussed in a collision with teammate Alex Keath in the Lions loss.
Keath hurt his hip in the knock but is expected to be fit for Round 10.
Ruckman Reilly O'Brien sprained an ankle against Brisbane but is not expected to miss the Eagles game, though first-choice ruck Sam Jacobs (knee) will be sidelined at least one more week.
The seventh-placed Crows also expect defender Brodie Smith to play against West Coast despite hyperextending his right knee against Brisbane.
After having it strapped, Smith returned to finish the game.
Seasoned campaigners Richard Douglas and Paul Seedsman could also return to the AFL side this weekend.
Seedsman (knee) and Douglas (ankle) played in the state league ranks last weekend.
"We have got a few guys in the conversation this week which is excellent, selection pressure is what you need," Hart said.
