AFL clubs have made an unprecedented number of draft pick trades, with only eight of the top 38 picks staying with the original owner.
Some big names switched Clubs but the new points bidding system for academy and father-son draftees also had a major impact as Greater Western Sydney, Brisbane and Sydney shuffled picks and players to collect extra points from rival clubs wanting early picks.
Carlton and Brisbane held on to the top two picks in the draft but pick four (Essendon) was the only top ten pick not to change colours during the trade period.
Three teams have two selections in the top ten. Melbourne used a trade of picks with Gold Coast to secure No 3 and also ended up with Pick 7; Essendon has 4 and 5, and Carlton added No 8 to its No 1 pick and also had No 11.
The total number of draft picks will be clearer at the end of next week when Clubs lodge their first lists.
