Adelaide speedster Chayce Jones will get another chance to push his claims for a round one debut in Friday night's JLT Community Series encounter against Greater Western Sydney in Canberra.

The 19-year-old – the ninth overall pick in last year's NAB AFL Draft – was among an almost full strength 25-player squad that boarded a flight to the national capital on Thursday morning.

Experienced duo Daniel Talia (knee) and Bryce Gibbs (shoulder) return after missing last weekend's 17-point win against Port Adelaide in Port Pirie.

Wingman David Mackay (AC joint) and midfielder Hugh Greenwood (abdominal) will make their comebacks from injury in a SANFL trial on Friday night.

Jones impressed in a cameo appearance against the Power, having seven disposals and kicking a goal in just 35 per cent game time.

"We'll have another look at him and we like what we see in Chayce," Crows assistant coach Scott Camporeale said.

"He gives us another element where he can play midfield, wing and forward.

"He's a good runner, he's tough, you would've seen a couple of the hits he did last week.

"The group rates him really highly and so do we as a coaching group, so it will be good to see him against another quality opposition, hopefully we give him a bit more game time than he did last week."

The Crows will use their final pre-season game to put the finishing touches on their preparation ahead of their season opener against Hawthorn on March 23.

"We'll take 25 over there and then we'll have a look and see how the game unfolds," Camporeale said.

"We'd like to have a full dress rehearsal, probably play 22, 23.

"If anything happens, it will be a no-risk policy heading into round one."

Midfielder/forward Jordan Gallucci won't play at any level for a second straight week as he builds match conditioning after having a foot injury in pre-season.

"He'll train, no issues there," Camporeale said.

"He's still trying to get back and force his way back into the team.

"He's had a little bit of a foot issue so we just want to make sure he's right.

"He's a quality guy, played a fair bit of footy for us, we rate him highly, want to see him up and going."
