Crows co-captain Rory Sloane has no intention of visiting Western Australia’s surf spots before the clash with the Eagles on Sunday afternoon.
The avid surfer was asked on Triple M’s The Rush Hour if he plans to pack the surfboard for the trip west, an idea he shot down quickly.
“We’ll leave that for later in the year,” Sloane told hosts Andrew Jarman and Dale Lewis.
“I won’t be doing the Modra over there, heading down south before the game.”
The 29-year-old was referring to a few years ago when Modra travelled to Mount Barker, Western Australia as an ambassador of the club.

Despite being on duties, Modra - another keen surfer - arrived at the airport with his surfboard.
Jokes aside, Sloane said the team was ready for a big game against the Eagles and that it was “a game we need”.
“They’re the in-form team of the competition and the best on their own deck,” Sloane said.
“It’s a huge game but I think we match up well, I really rate their midfield.
“(Elliot) Yeo is one of the stars of the competition, along with (Luke) Shuey, (Jack) Redden and (Andrew) Gaff as well.”
Earlier this week, the Crows were labelled as arrogant on Channel 7’s Talking Footy, something Sloane disagreed with.

When questioned about the comments, the midfielder said it wasn’t a nice term to be associated with.
“It’s not how you want to be perceived,” he said.
“I don’t think as a playing group we would be perceived that way.
“We’ve had our troubles and sometimes when you lose a few games you draw scrutiny, but we had a good win on the weekend and our finals hopes are alive.
“Instead of worrying about that sort of thing, we need to be focussed on finals.”
The Crows will face West Coast at Optus Oval at 3.20pm AWST (4.50pm ACST) on Sunday.
