Adelaide’s two-point win over Melbourne in Darwin saw Brad Crouch string together a career-best game in front of goals.
The midfielder booted three, including the go-ahead goal 24 minutes into the fourth term to give the Crows their first lead of the game.
Crouch was firing on all cylinders 29 disposals - which included a team-high 13 contested possessions - nine score involvements and seven clearances.
In his previous 71 games, Crouch had never kicked more than two goals in a single match.
The margin was the closest between the two teams; Adelaide had a pair of five point wins (Round 13 1994 & Round Three 2006) and Melbourne two three-point victories (Round Two 2001 & Round Seven 2014).
Tom Lynch played an instrumental role with three majors, including two in the second-half, 29 disposals and a game-high 13 marks.
No player in Round 11 had more marks, although Jake Lloyd, Steven Coniglio and Tom Jonas all collected 13 as well.
Lynch and Crouch’s efforts make Adelaide the first side in 2019 to have two teammates with at least 25 disposals and three goals in the same match.
