North Melbourne pair Scott Thompson and Michael Firrito are free to play against Adelaide this Saturday after escaping suspension for separate striking charges.
Thompson accepted a reprimand for striking Jack Riewoldt in an aerial contest late in the second quarter of the Kangaroos’ clash with Richmond.
The incident was deemed negligent and low impact, initially attracting 80 points from the Match Review Panel. With an early plea, Thompson accepted a total of 63.75 points towards his future record.
Michael Firrito’s match-day report for a scrap with Tyrone Vickery was thrown out, while Vickery was hit with a two-week ban.
