Adelaide link-up man Tom Lynch has fond memories of playing Greater Western Sydney.
It was in Round Seven, 2013 that Lynch notched a 10-goal haul against the Giants to help guide the Crows to a 135-point win.
The then 22-year-old was in his second season at Adelaide and entered the game with just 15 appearances to his name.
With Kurt Tippett no longer at the Club and Taylor Walker recovering from an ACL injury, there was a clear opening in the forward line.
Lynch grabbed the chance with both hands and booted six goals in the third-quarter alone.
His personal tally of 10.2 (62) was higher than the Giant’s total score, 7.10 (52).
LEW REVIEW: The problem with international games
In perfect conditions Lynch claimed strong marks, won his one-on-one contests and proved to be a handful with his speed and accuracy.
Despite kicking a bag, Lynch was not awarded best on ground - Patrick Dangerfield received the three votes thanks to his 28 disposals and four goals.
Lynch’s 10-goal haul elevated him to esteemed company, Tony Modra and Scott Hodges are the only other Crows to hit double digits.
As of 2019, just four active players have kicked 10 or more goals in a game; Lynch, Lance Franklin (Hawthorn, Sydney), Josh Kennedy (West Coast) and Jack Riewoldt (Richmond).
At the time, Lynch also recorded personal-best numbers with 21 disposals, 11 marks and five inside-50s.
He has since bettered each record - including 32 disposals against Brisbane in 2015.
