Veteran midfielder Bryce Gibbs won’t play in Adelaide’s Round Four clash with North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
Gibbs will run out onto Woodville Oval for the SANFL Crows on Saturday afternoon, replaced in the senior side by Cam Ellis-Yolmen.
Crows coach Don Pyke said Ellis-Yolmen deserved his opportunity off the back of an impressive and consistent pre-season, coupled with a dominant SANFL performance where he collected a game-high 36 disposals (24 contested possessions), nine clearances and seven tackles.
“Bryce's form has been patchy and not at the usual consistent high standard that both he and we expect," Pyke said.
"We operate in an environment where we must reward people for strong performances and from a midfield perspective Cam Ellis-Yolmen has been consistently doing that."
Goalkicking midfielder Myles Poholke also comes into the senior side after a solid start in the reserves, averaging 25 disposals while also booting six goals across the first two rounds.
Poholke replaces Paul Seedsman after the wingman was ruled out for 4-8 weeks after suffering bone bruising to his knee in Round Two.
Reilly O’Brien holds his ruck spot, with veteran Sam Jacobs unable to fully recover from a knee injury.
Saturday night’s game gets underway at 7.25 AEST and will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and Fox Footy.
